What a relief!

Phew! We made it! Last time, we have an I.S project and we have to present it in front of everyone. By i mean everyone only year 5. I learn many things like being more confident, learn more about solids, liquids, gas and also rocks! This is the best presentation ever!

Y5 Camp

the camp was great! i can't wait to have another camp. We have a lot of activities. We do some outbonds, make a fire place, get to see a lot of fireworks and many more. The boring part is when the reflection at night time. I was soooooo sleepy cause it is so boring and it is late at night. At the outbond i like the donut game cause i like squishy thing and playing with a stick. I hate the game that we need to fill up the bucket with water. we need to sit on it! i totally get my pants wet. Some of my friends use their heads to squish the sponge. It was pretty fun and i totally like it when we can sleep together with our friends. we can even talk at midnight. i even here someone is talking while sleeping.

It was lot of fun in year 5 camp. But the part I like the most is when we play fireworks at the night and make a camp fire with our principle and Kedoya's principle. We also eat hoka-hoka bento Sedapnya.... TEEHEE.

I like to be on the camp because we can got new experience in it like being more Independence and fold the matters by ourself.I think i love being on YR 5 Camp.I think the hard part is when we do the outbound because I think I work really hard until I got 4 out of 6 stamps in it and the easy part when I ready to sleep because Im only brush my teeth and change cloth to pyjamas.And the exciting part was when I play outbound too because each stand of games had a fun challenge game.

It was amazing when last Saturday, my friends and the teachers were at school on Saturday! Because it was our school birthday and also family fun day. In there I played many games like darts, ping pong glass and many more! But do you know what the best part is? RAN! RAN when to our school to do a performance for us! woohooooo!

Wow, today was the choir competition and I can not believe that we got the third place!!!!!!
I just want to say thank you for the teachers who had help us to win in the third place and I also want to thank you all who had support us when in the competition. In overall we did great and we did our best to do this thing. Of course we have a lot of wrongs but we did our best anyway. Also, I want to thank the soccer team to do their best in the soccer competition which they lose which is just you know normal. But they did their really best.

Description: My friends and I are silent reading when they are having their work done or having a free time. Also there is the pictures of our unit two books. Anyway, I want to tell my central idea in unit 2. The central idea of unit 2 is understanding the properties and behavior of solids, liquids and gases helps us to use them to our advantage. What do being a Communicator person means?

What do being a communicator person means?

It means communicating with everyone, not only the people you know. You can communicate with people u don’t know so that you can make more friends, or you communicate so people will understand you more clearly. So being a communicator is very important, you also have to communicate in a nice/right way.

Why are the ICE CAPS melting?

This story is about Global Warming. I will explain what is global warming and how do we help making less global warming.

Global Warming is when there is too much gases like: carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and fluorocarbons. This gases form an invisible cover that holds the heat of the sun. So less heat escapes and more heat reflect back to earth. That’s why the ice caps are melting.

We can help prevent Global Warming by:
1. Don’t burn coal and oil
2. Plant more trees
3. Don’t use aerosol spray à it releases fluorocarbons
4. Don’t throw garbage in wrong places
5. Turn off electronic things when you don’t need them
6. If you and your friends or family going to the same destination, you can share carsà that’s called carpooling.
7. Don’t cut trees, because it breaths carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen, that’s all

You're probably wondering why I am saying pa.Well because I read this book "The bottle mystery". Pa is the old man with a long beard(right) and boy(left). This book is about a boy finding a mysterious bottle.The bottle had a strange neck and had a marble inside. How does the marble get in there I asked to myself. First he asked his Dad, but his dad had no single clue of what the bottle was. Then he (boy) asked Grandma. Grandma holds the bottle and jiggle/goyang the bottle and the marble went out. But still grandma could not tell much information. Asked you're grandpa she said. Pa is now the short word for grandpa. Then pa tell me a clue he was going to let me figure out it for myself. i forgot what the clue is but later boy discovered that it was made like that for a cap/lid for fizzy drink. They use that way because long ago in 1929-1930 they don't have caps/lids. So they use this by first trying to get the marble to stuck between the to holder so we can drink.

Di pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, kami membawa instruksi pemakaian atau penyajian. Kami lalu menempelkannya di satu lembar kertas. Setelah itu, kami menempelkan lembar- lembar itu di kertas asturo, membacanya dan berdiskusi di kelompok kita apakah ini jelas atau tidak jelas. Kami juga menulis alasannya mengapa instruksi ini jelas atau tidak jelas. Selain itu kami juga membuat KWL (know, what, and learn) dalam pelajaran bahasa indonesia kami juga mengisi lembaran tentang karangan deskriptif. Hasil pekerjaan kita ada di atas paragraf ini.

Yesterday was a fun and tired day at school.My team and other team compete each other.The theme for this wall magazine was recycling around us so we tell about recycling.Esther's team work was beautiful, for me the other school work was also beautiful.Even though my team work is little bit ruined because of the decoration and the placing of the information.But all of us has try our best, I don't care if I don't win.The important thing is we get fun there!TEEHEE....

End Of Unit One Presentation!

Finally, we come to the end of unit one! But, that doesn't mean we can relax all day long! We have to present to other classes about keeping healthy. We can present in many kinds of ways like making a puppet show, power point presentation, role play, etc. We must present our work to other classes except for 5L. I was a little bit afraid at that time.

This is Minerals Group! They are having a power point presentation and a puppet show. They are presenting there work to year 7C. Austin, Felix, Dion, Stella, and I are in Mineral group. The leading class teacher in 7C is Ms. Caroline and she gave us the highest score! Yaay! Even though there are troubles during the presentation, we did well.

Down here is all of the photos of Vegetables Group Presentation. They did a power point presentation. By the way, Minerals and Vegetables group presented there works on Tuesday, 31st of August 2010. Vegetables group presented there work at 13.10 and Minerals group presented there work on 13.30.

Mandarin Presentation

We had a mandarin presentation in class. We must memorize the first paragraph of the lesson San Zhi Xiao Yang, if we can do it we get +10 points, but if we can't do it we will get -5 points. This is Austin doing his presentation in front of the class on Tuesday, 31st of August 2010. Some of us did the presentation on Wednesday, 1st of September 2010 because they join choir.

Our classroom

This is our classroom, it is cool, right?
Right on our left is our essential agreements.
We agree to keep the class and ourselves clean, take turns to speak, raise hands before you speak, use proper tone when speaking, show the learners profiles and attitudes in everything, and take care of our belongings and school properties.

This is about our first unit, keeping healthy.

Our first unit is called keeping healthy.
Our trans- disciplinary theme is who we are and our central idea is good health is essential to human life and our lines of inquiry is the characteristics of good health, the importance of being healthy in body, mind, and spirit, and healthy choices and improving my health. Did we learn a lot? Of course we did! With the help of our cool teachers, of course.

These are our books. We've got lots of cool books. These are the examples, some of them are called good hygiene, let's exercise, water and fibre, food safety, a good nights sleep, and exercise and rest. They got lots of information about keeping healthy. We got these books from our school library. We became so smart after reading these books. I think you should read them with me someday. All cool books are in our school library, you may visit us next time, we love to have guests. Our books looks cool, right? Do you like it?

These are our dictionaries, thesauruses, and atlas. We've got an Indonesian- English dictionary, a Long man dictionary, 4 oxford dictionaries, an oxford student atlas, 4 oxford thesauruses, and a big dictionary of Indonesian language. Our dictionaries have definitions that are easy to understand, spell words, and do our writings. Our thesauruses helps us do our writing and our atlas helps us understand a lot about the world we live in. These stuff also makes us very smart.

These are our arts shoe boxes, we use them to keep our arts. Isn't it very crafty? On this unit, we are making healthy magnet clips out of professional clay, ice cream sticks, and magnets. We should make a magnet clip of how to be healthy in mind, a magnet clip of how to be healthy in spirit, and 3 magnet clips of how to be healthy in body. It was very fun to make these clips. It is also easy, you just need to mold the clay, stick the clay to the stick, and stick a magnet into the stick. You may try this at home! Do you know why our boxes are so cool? It is because we decorate it with stickers, wrapping papers, etc! Everybody loves arts!

These are our house groups, there are 4 kinds of house groups. They are Melati, Mawar, Anggrek, and Aster. Reina, Carla, Calista, Ambert, Kenny, Meshach, and Stella are in the Melati House Group. Esther and Austin are in the Mawar House Group. Gilbert, Dion, Marchel, and Felix are in the Aster House Group. Samuel, Adelina, Vionda, Angeline, and Miko are in the Anggrek House Group. We usually use house groups for competitions in special occasions. If we have sibling(s), we will have the save house group with our sibling(s). Aster is a name of a type of beautiful yellow flowers, Melati is a white Jasmin, Mawar is red roses, and Anggrek is a type of beautiful purple flowers. Each of us has our own house group t- shirt according to our own house group, we usually wear it on competitions and on dance class.

Our class heroes display is pasted on our door. It is very useful because it helps us know about today's class heroes. Class heroes are the ones who give out books or worksheets, be the prayer leader, and be the line leader. The class heroes on Monday are Dion, Carla, Ambert, and Angeline. The class heroes on Tuesday are Marchel, Reina, and Samuel. The class heroes on Wednesday are Calista, Gilbert, and Felix. The class heroes on Thursday are Stella, Austin, Miko, and Vionda. And the class heroes on Friday are Adelina, Esther, Kenny, and Meshach. It is very fun to be the class hero, but it makes you tired.

This is our food pyramid poster it is about having a balanced diet. We must eat grains like bread, rice, and pasta, vegetables like carrot, corn, and spinach, fruits like oranges, apples, and kiwis, milks like frozen yogurt, cheese, and soy milk, oils like margarine, meats like beef, eggs, and fish, and beans like nuts. Under the food pyramid poster, there is a map of the world we live in, it helps us understand how the world looks like.

This is our unit cover, it is also about our unit, keeping healthy. Our learner profile for this unit is balanced.
